– you create the future
About our futurist course
Think, Work and Play Like a Futurist is our online trend management course. You will be introduced to the futurist mindset and tools that enable you to anticipate and navigate the future while seizing new opportunities. The principles you learn can be applied on all levels inside an organisation, or you may wish to utilise your newfound futurist skills as an individual.
In 3 modules – THINK, WORK, PLAY – we explore the methods and toolkit of Kjaer Global’s trend management system. We will show you how to adapt your thinking to that of an active changemaker. You will learn how to identify the core building blocks of the future – the patterns that allow you to see the big picture and change mechanisms – as well as tuning into the challenges ahead and turning them into opportunities appropriate to your sector.
Introducing trend management
Being able to shape tomorrow, we need to understand the various drivers influencing our future. Which ones can we influence or take advantage of – and which present a risk to our context? To do this, we must have a system in place to help us make sense of the many and sometimes contradictory drivers and shifts that impact on society, business and people.
We call this, trend management. This methodology is a system we have developed over many decades as a platform for interconnected thinking. It allows us to anticipate developments and make more informed choices in the present about the future. Everybody can learn to take advantage of change, and the trend management framework provides a trend and testet toolkit for understanding trends and navigating the future.
The Trend Management Toolkit: A Practical Guide to the Future
In a fast moving world, businesses need to keep up with data analysis and pattern spotting to identify future opportunities. Anne Lise Kjaer presents a unique methodology for global trend spotting along with practical tools and approaches.
The toolkit includes features such as ‘How to create your own Trend Atlas’ and ‘How to Use Trends in Action’, alongside case studies and profiles of previous research projects for major organizations.
Anne Lise encourages readers to become leaders rather than followers, by developing a ‘future-orientated mindset’ to interpret contradictive influences and identify trends as they emerge.
